Function

As a Quality Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety across our two production sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and implementing the global quality strategy:

    • Develop and deploy a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with Lutosa’s objectives and industry standards.

    • Continuously assess current quality practices, processes, and performance to identify improvement areas.

    • Conduct benchmarking against industry best practices to enhance Lutosa’s competitive edge.

    • Establish a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve quality performance.

  • Compliance and audits:

    • Ensure adherence to all relevant food safety regulations and certifications (HACCP, GFSI, ISO 22000, FDA, USDA, etc.).

    • Guarantee compliance of operations (product formulation, manufacturing, labeling, packaging) with regulatory and industry requirements.

    • Supervise internal and external audits, coordinate with certification bodies, and implement corrective action plans.

  • Leadership and management:

    • Oversee the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Customer Care teams, ensuring team development and expertise growth.

    • Foster a strong quality culture within the organization through awareness programs and employee training.

    • Ensure optimal collaboration between the Quality department and other teams (Sales, Manufacturing, R&D…).

  • Budget and performance management:

    • Manage the Quality department’s budget in alignment with the company’s financial objectives.

    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality operations and cost efficiency.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Solid knowledge of food industry regulations and quality standards.

Language

  • Fluent in English, Dutch, and French.
